PRE SURGERY

  • The case is created in the JointPoint calendar by the surgery scheduler. The case is shared with the surgeon and the requested implant representative.
  • The surgeon and rep access the case using their own logins, and one or both create a preoperative template.
  • Rep and surgeon can view each other’s preoperative templates and share case notes within JointPoint.
  • The rep can streamline their surgical case preparation with seamless access to case data.

DURING SURGERY

  • Patient is positioned and an x-ray of the hip is taken at the beginning of surgery.
  • Surgeon continues with their normal DAA workflow.
  • The surgeon takes an x-ray while implanting the acetabular component, and optionally uses JointPoint to analyze cup position.
  • Surgeon prepares femur and reduces hip with femoral trials in place.
  • X-ray of the hip is taken with the trial in place.
  • JointPoint is used to create an overlay of intraop images showing offset and leg length changes. The surgeon is now analyzing real-time operative data that they can compare to their preoperative goals.
  • Software predicts leg length and offset changes associated with different trial combinations. JointPoint’s predictive capabilities can reduce OR time and fluoroscopy by eliminating re-trialing.

POSTOP VISIT

  • Postoperative AP Pelvis x-ray confirms intraoperative data analysis.
